This is a bulk-billing practice. Appointments and walk-ins welcome.

Appointments and walk-ins are welcome but we do give preference to appointments.
The doctors make every effort to run on time but sometimes an urgent problem may require extra time. You are welcome to call prior to your appointment to see if your doctor is running on time. Reception will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen cancellation of session or if your GP has been called away. Please assist us always with your contact details are up to date. Please inform the receptionists if you feel you need a longer appointment.
Upon your arrival, please present to reception.
Receptionist will ask you for your medical card and Personal Identification ID, correct patient identification is vital for patient safety and the maintenance of confidentiality.
If your doctor has asked you to have some tests done, it is important that you make an appointment to review the test results. Privacy Policy prevents staff from discussing results over the phone. Giving results in person is the safest medical practice. Reception will contact patients that require review as a recall. All contact relating to recall patients is documented in the patient’s records. If the review is urgent the doctor will contact the patient.
Our practice has an appropriate system in place for GPs to follow up clinically significant results. All reports, clinical correspondence and results are sighted and acknowledged by the GP and actioned in an appropriate time frame. All actions must be recorded in the patient’s health record.
From time to time we may issue you with a reminder notice offering preventive health service4s appropriate top your care. If you do not wish to be a part of this system please advise us.
All the patients’ medical records are a confidential document. All staff at Top Ryde Medical Centre respect the privacy and confidentiality of your health information. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised staff members.
We bulk bill all Medicare Services for patients who are registered with Medicare.
We charge $80.00 as a GP consultation from all the patients who do not have medicare card.RTA Drivers Medical Check Up, Pre-employment Medical Check Up, Divers Medical Check Up are not covered with medicare and these are billed based on the density and the length of the medical. It is best to discuss the nature of your medical with reception to obtain a quote prior to booking an appointment.
Compensation visits are billed directly to the insurer. Upon your first consultation, please bring the insurer’s details and your claim number (if applicable). These consultations are billed according to the AMA fee schedule.
We have Laverty Pathology onsite for your convenience, most test advised by GP’s are bulk billed.
Doctors will address “EMERGENCY phone calls only” during normal consulting hours. If you wish to discuss a non-urgent issue with the doctor, please make an appointment.
If urgent, please give reception a clear, concise explanation of the nature of the emergency.
This information will be passed on the doctor. Any non-urgent phone messages will be addressed when time permits.
